Southern Ohio School Girls Youth Lacrosse Association (SOSGYLA)

Youth Games Umpire Fees:

  • Level A:  Two umpires, $45 per umpire, per game.  If only one umpire officiates a game, the umpire will be paid $90 (fee to be split by both teams).

  • Level B:  Two umpires, $45 per umpire, per game.  If only one umpire officiates a game, the umpire will be paid $90 (fee to be split by both teams).

  • Level C:  Two umpires: $35 per umpire, per game.  If only one umpire officiates a game, the umpire will be paid $70 (fee to be split by both teams).

 

Level A / USL 12U (5th and 6th Grade Players):

  1. U14 timing:  25 minute running clock each half, 5 minute halftime. Exception: The clock will stop on every whistle in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half only. 

  2. Stop clock in the last 2 minutes of 2nd half and stop clock at timeouts. Timeouts may be taken only after a goal or by the team with possession. Each team may have one timeout per half. Timeouts are 1 minute. Umpires may take injury timeouts and others as only absolutely necessary. 

  3. Scoring team must have 1 completed pass after the draw. Modified Checking allowed.

  4. If time runs out at the end of 1st half and an 8m free position has been awarded, the fouled player will be awarded the direct position and will have the opportunity to make the shot to end the 1st half.

  5. US Lacrosse Youth Rules - 12U.

  6. Two umpires per game. 

 

Level B / USL 12U with 10U exceptions (5th and 6th Grade Players):

  • 20 minute running clock each half with 5 minute halftime.

  • Stop clock for timeouts only.Timeouts may be taken only after a goal or by the team with possession. Each team may have one timeout per half. Timeouts are 1 minute. Umpires may take injury timeouts and others as necessary.

  • Scoring team must have 2 attempted passes after the draw.  No Checking allowed (Major Foul).

  • U. S. Lacrosse Youth Rules 12U.

  • If time runs out at the end of either half and an 8m free position has been awarded, the fouled player will be awarded the direct position and will have the opportunity to make the shot to end the half/game.

Level C /USL 10U with 8U Exceptions (3rd and 4th Grade Players):

  • 20 minute running clock each half with 5 minute halftime.

  • Stop clock for timeouts only. Timeouts may be taken only after a goal or by the team with possession. Each team may have one timeout per half. Timeouts are 1 minute. Umpires may take injury timeouts and others as only absolutely necessary.

  • Scoring team must have 2 attempted passes after the draw.  No Checking allowed (Major Foul).
